Leadership

At ATX Emblem, Mr. Canavati is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and overseeing U.S.operations. Mr. Canavati has held various leadership roles with development and investment companies in Austin and Houston, including DDeltaReal Estate Investments, International Investors Group, and Terragon Developers.

Through this experience, he has gained a deep understanding of a variety of aspects surrounding US real estate, including developing from the ground up and managing cross-border investments. Mr. Canavati is a graduate from the McCombs School of Business, where he specialized in Finance and Real Estate. He is an active member of UT Austin’s Real Estate Center and Urban Land Institute’s Master Planned Communities Council. He and his family have resided in Austin, TX since 2012.

Founder and principal of Emblem Capital in Monterrey, Mexico, Gabriel Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience in Real Estate Development in multiple projects within different sectors such as Single-Family Homes, Multifamily, Industrial, Office and Mixed Use.

Gabriel oversees the strategic activities of the development projects and is responsible for raising capital for the actively managed private equity investment funds. As a result of his relationship-driven approach with high-net-worth individuals, he has managed to make his company emerge as a relevant real estate developer in Monterrey, México.
Gabriel holds a BE in Industrial Engineering from Tech of Monterrey, Mexico and an MBA from McCombs School of Business, Class ’09, at the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Real Estate.

Mauricio Villarreal has over 10 years of experience advising HNW and UHNW individuals within the wealth management business of Citibanamex, in Monterrey, Mexico. During the past 5 years, Mr. Villarreal has held leadership positions focused on investment products and strategies, most recently as Senior Vice President.

Through this experience, Mauricio has gained insight into a wide variety of investment products, the market and the wealth management business. Mauricio has also applied advanced risk management metrics in order to better advise his clients. Mauricio holds a BE in Financial Management from Tec de Monterrey, and an MBA from Sauder School of Business, Class 15', at the University of British Columbia.
